HydroVolt doesn’t just clean water, it transforms it.

Our story

A woman squatting beside scientific equipment in a forest at night, illuminated by a few cluster lights in the trees.
A man sitting in a dirt area at night, smiling, with a fallen tree and branches behind him and equipment nearby.

It all started in 2017. Bryce Harper found a passion for generating power from things we commonly take for granted. Using his love of science, he developed a saltwater-powered flashlight when he was 15. His flashlight, which worked despite galvanic corrosion, was able to produce light for months at a time. Though he had been building things all his life, this was his first invention with practical applications. Later in life, Bryce recognized the ever-increasing problem of contaminated drinking water and unreliable power in underdeveloped countries and knew that he could build something to help solve the issue. Leaning on practices traditionally used in nuclear power plants, he was able to build a portable machine was able to generate electricty while simultaneously desalinating and sterilizing water safely. Thus, The Oasis was born.
